What is the origin of the cursive hebrew alef beis?

Well, I don't know the origin, but did you know that there is also script in Hebrew writing?

Every laguage has a cursive. there is that which is used to print and that which is used to writing.

I will check into it, I think the first documented cursive is shortly after the times of the Gemara. I saw something about it.
