Please elaborate, what would you like to understand. What sfichim, are, the story of teh Mitteler Rebbe.

I know what sfichim are....
I guess the story...what are they cited to teach?

The story is that the Mitteler Rebbe sent a group of Chasidim to establish a village or community in Eretz Yisrael. They asked how will they survive without the teachings of their Rebbe, so the Rebbe responded that he will send them transcripts of his teachings.

Rebbe's question: How can one survive without actually seeing the Rebbe?

Answer: Just as "Sfichim" grow without any planting at this time, just use the planting that occured a long time prior, so too, picturing the Rebbe's face accomplishes the same thing as if there was the actual seeing the Rebbe right now.
