I have encountered the inyan of Neshomas Chadashos ( New Neshomas ) in different contexts in Chassidus.
In one context, it refers to very great souls on the level of the Alter Rebbe.
In another context it refers to very great souls that never came into the world and will not enter the world until Moshiach comes.
Are these referring to the same thing? In other words, was the Alter Rebbe one of these New Neshomas that uncharacteristically came into this world? Or is the term being used differently in his case?
I suspect that by the AR and others it refers to Neshoma of Atzilus, whereas in the second context it refers to...(don't have access to the MR's Drushei Chasana at present....)

Very free-spending with my money!
As for the folks in virtual Tsfas, I had already perused those pages before I posted here. If I thought I was qualified to draw my own conclusions from the Zohar and the Arizal without the benefit of Chabad Chassidus and Toras HaBesht, maybe I wouldn't be here at Chabadtalk at all. Instead, I'd be running my own site like R's Winston and barTzadok, pontificating chidushim on inyonei d'yoma to anyone who would listen.
But I'm not.
So there.

Why do you want to say there is a single neshoma klolius?
A quick look at history shows that it was impossible for each Jewish soul to have fulfilled those mitzvos. How can that fact be reconciled with the Alter Rebbe’s statement? In answer, Kabbalists explain that a king and high priest possessed general souls, including within themselves sparks of the souls of the entire Jewish nation. Therefore, through their performance of the mitzvos, they fulfill the obligation of the rest of the Jewish people as well. The same explanation can be used in the case at hand. The select few of each generation possessed “general souls” and therefore their study of Kabbalah fulfilled the obligations of the entire nation.

Thus it is stated in the Zohar [Zohar III, 273a/216b] in reference to Moses our Master, peace be unto him, that after his passing his radiation extends in every generation to the six hundred thousand souls, [all other souls being sparks of these general souls, as explained in Tanya, ch. 37], like the sun which radiates to the six hundred thousand stars from below the earth.

It states somewhere that every Yid who will ever live has his name in Divrei Hayamim. Is that referring to 600,000 names, of we are each a fragment?

From Gal Einai:
"...The Holy Ari, the acronym for Rabbi Isaac ben Shlomo Luria, was the new soul* sent from above..."
*) In Kabbalah, a new soul is one that was not contained within Adam and therefore did not partake of the primordial sin of eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Because every human being is actually a mosaic of souls, and most if not all of these were contained within Adam, the Ari, like all human beings cursed with death, eventually did pass away. For a more in-depth explanation, see “Tzadik Yesod Olam” in Rabbi Ginsburgh’s Hebrew volume Leiv Lada’at, p. 136.
Gevurah, you probably have this sefer. Does he give marei makomos in Chassidus for this concept?

I once heard that one of the rebetzins (I think rebetzin fraida) had a male neshoma! anyone knows the full picture?
now it says that yitzchak had a female Neshoma & wasn't able to have children for this until the akaidah where he received a male Neshoma & only then was he mechuav to get married!
heres the questions how was Yitzchak Bris considered one as he really wasnt mechuav for one as it was a female neshoma?
& how come this Rebetzin did have childres whilst Yitzchak couldnt?

A. The mitzvah is on the Guf.
B. Just because a female may have the soul of a male does not necessarily mean that she will not have children. It is possible that she can get an Ibur of a female soul in order to give birth (which may sometimes become the soul of the child (which will be born female etc), or through several other means, where it is possible for her to even give birth to a male, if I recall the Shaar HaGilgulim correctly. (I will try to find the exact chapter for you so that you can look it up.)

In Ohr Hachaim Parshas Toldos Posuk Yud Tes it says Vaelei toldos Avraham so the Or Hachaim explains it says Avraham as Avraham gave Yitzchak the ability ti have a child throught the Akaida! As Yitzchak received a new neshoma!
