Who is the Eighth King?

I'm not referring to the Moderator here on Chabadtalk, but rather the Eighth King who ruled in Edom before there was a king in Israel. Hadar, by name, of whom it is not said "he ruled and he died" as is said by the previous seven kings.

Divrei Chassidus (I am thinking particularly of the Mitteler Rebbe) make interesting references to "Melech haChes Hadar" in conjunction with tzaddik Elyon, etc.

Perhaps someone on this forum has a handle on the 8th King and can flesh out the inyan for us. :rolleyes:
