did the rebbe get smicha from the gaon?

i saw in Shalshelet Hayachas in Hayom yom that in the year 1924-5 the rebbe recieved semicha from the gaon.
Was this yachas Muga or not?
& is there any more details to this?

I heard from Rabbi Seligson that they read for the Rebbe that entire thing and the Rebbe was maskim for it to be printed in the 1993 edition of Hayom Yom.

As far as the Rebbe's corespondence with the gaon, there have been igros that have already been published from the Rebbe to the gaon, in the Rebbes Reshimos there are letters that the gaon wrote to him, in Kfar Chabad 10 Shvat 5760 facsimiles of the gaons letters to the Rebbe were reproduced.

I remember seeing some hagahos of the rebbe on the shalshelet hayachas (i think it was by the year 5742).
Then again can anyone offer any other information on this smicha that was given to the rebbe or any other ones?

In tzaddik lamelech vol. 4 the shalsheles hayaches for the Rebbes peulos of the year 5742, it is writte in the Rebbbes ksav yad.

AS far as this smicha I dont have any more information, however it is told that the Rebbe also got smicha from the sridei asih, the story goes as follows [from memory, it is printed in iymei melech]:

To gain acces to a certain library in Berlin one had to show official documents that you were a ordained Rabbi or the like (I am not sure about that detail but from here on im clear on the story).



the Rebbe went to the Sridei aish, (I forgot his name for the moment) and asked him to give him smicha, he asked the Rebbe, "What should I test you on?" He answered: "Whatever yo like, even your latest kuntres pinui atsmos meisim.

Lehoir, in the Rebbes Reshimos there are heoros on the above mentioned kuntres.

Actually, He Also Gave Smicha To My Great-Great-Great-Grandfather Harav Hagaon Reb Yehoshua Nimotin ( Who Was A Chossid Of THe T"T ,Rebbe Maharash , Rebbe Rashab , Frierdiker Rebbe And He Also Saw The Rebbe Many Times In Leningrad ( The Rebbe Stayed With His Son ,Reb Shmuel H"YD).
