Mikva???
Im not sure if this is the right thread.
I am mostly chabad and i am a bit trobled with the concept of going to the mikva every day.why should i go to the mikva? why do people go? Do you have to go in the morning before chatzos or can you do it past chatzos? is it better for you to go once a week rather than not go? ans such things |

It's not an obligation, it's a custom. If you can manage to do it, it will benefit you greatly. If you're not yet up to that, then don't worry about it... take it on when you feel ready.

I wish the mikveh was open at Chatzos.
or at least before 5:30am anyway. Going to the mikvah is a huge spiritual benifit that is often overlooked and not taken seriously. I once heard that greatest mitzvah that is not a mitzvah is going to the mikvah and the greatest averah that isnt an averah is depression. Try to go to the mikvah erev Shabbos/Yom Tov if you can. Once you do that then you will realize that aspiring to go everyday is an amazing thing. If it causes you trouble, then it is your yetzer hara and you shouldnt let it bother you. Maybe learn Chassidus about going to the mikvah for inspiration. Gut Erev Shabbos and a Frielech Purim! |
